Permissions change on Facebook Connect
I used to log into The Verge with Facebook Connect, because at the time, all that is required was "Basic Information". However, I tried logging in just then, and I was asked to give up my email address, profile information, status updated and check-ins. I have no idea why The Verge suddenly needs all these from FB.
So now I've had to create a The Verge account with the barest of info, including false information about my location, and set it to send to my junk email address, because I don't trust it anymore. Perhaps I'm missing something on the site, but I can't trust a site that needs all that information without a reason to - like downloading a flashlight app that wants to know my location.
UPDATE: All fixed! Thanks! Back to my original account.
