Retina 8.9" LCD
The thing I'm most excited about from the new Kindle Fire announcement is the existence of the 1920x1200 8.9" LCD. It looks like a really nice screen, and is nice and high-density. I want to see more tablets using that screen come out. I think 8.9" is a great size and 250 ppi is excellent. My dream tablet is a Nexus tablet with that screen, a micro SD slot, HDMI out, and bluetooth. That's my laptop replacement right there.
What do y'all think? Does Amazon have a lock on these screens or will we see other OEMs use them? Anybody know the panel manufacturer?
