New Mac mini sep 12th? Does Ivy Bridge fix the 23.976 bug?
According to Mac Rumors the Mac mini is due for an update, and my guess is that will happen next week. Another guess would be that it gets upgraded with Ivy Bridge since the Air runs on that platform. That would mean USB 3, Intel HD4000 among other things, and if that happens that could mean that it would be a great HTPC. Do you agree?
Now, does anybody know if Intel fixed the 23.976 bug that plagued the HD3000? The error in the form of a dropped frame every 40 seconds or so occurs when you try to watch media recorded in 23.976 hz because the system can only output 24 hz.
Any other thoughts on using mac as a HTPC solution?
