The problem with apple's old user interface

Something curious that is starting to happen with many ios app is that they all seem to be changing the default appearance of the apps, leaving the black menu on the bottom, the skeumorphic visual elemtsr of the default apps and going for simpler interface and a simpler way of functioning .

Take for example clear. You only need to swipe to make to do lists. A clean bold interfaced accompanied of simple colors.

Then we have letterpress, very similar in the way that its also clean simple with very little menus and a very clear interface.

Even google is taking a simpler approach to their official apps.

The problem with all these apps is that no one is following the old design guidelines because they are very old, and all apps are going simpler, leaving many different ways of interacting with the apps and creating all sorts of different behaviors of the apps thus creating a chaos of different ways of design.

Lets hope for IOS 7 to solve this problems.
