How to make the switch between the W8 Desktop and Menu less jarring, one easy change
Here's a quick trick that I came up with to make the Desktop share the same background as the Menu, it's crazy but in my opinion this simple change makes the entire OS feel a whole lot more seamless.
Launch the Menu and zoom out
Take a screenshot

Copy the screenshot into paint, use the selection tool to remove everything that isn't the background and fill in the gaps using the colour picker.

Save the picture and set it as your desktop background.
