As a amateur musician I've been looking to buy a portable recorder for quite some time. I was willing to spend around 300-400 euros for it but now this is coming out and I'm thinking "why not get this, the iPod touch 5th gen (which I've been meaning to get for a while anyway) and the app and I'm set?". It's going to cost about the same anyway and it's from a company with Rode's pedigree. Great stuff and admittedly a sector of the market that Android is woefully behind. Even if I use it for recording and for the occassional music-making app it's still a great deal!
The Blue Mikey looks good too.
Anyway, any excuse to spend money is a good excuse! :D
