Surface Pro looks great... but who wants an ULV IVB tablet?

So before you all go off on me, here's my rationale:

I really do want the Surface Pro. It will no doubt be powerful, and packs a gorgeous display according to Tom Warren.

However, I don't particularly like the idea of a tablet having vents, even if they work well and are silent.

Battery life will rival that of an ultra-book, but the bigger concern is the lack of connected standby. These "sleep states" won't just significantly improve battery life but will also allow for background syncing and quicker resume times, something I find of utmost importance for a tablet. The Surface Pro needs Haswell for me to jump on board... otherwise I just see it as an ultra-portable desktop, which no doubt will be great for some.

What do you guys/gals think? Are you getting one?
