Samba 4.0 released with full Active Directory support
So Samba 4.0 has been released finally, with decade-in-the-making full Active Directory support. Eliminating the requirement for a Microsoft AD server is pretty exciting to me, perhaps because I hate 'doing time' on Windows.
Has anyone been testing it yet? I'm interested to see where development can go, perhaps pushing in to Open LDAP too to eliminate the Magic Triangle setup of Mac OS, Linux and Windows, assist with streamlining services on Linux platforms and even purely taking the headache of Windows Server out of the equation.
What think, Vergons?
