One Life to Live and All My Children, a pair of cancelled soaps being resurrected online, have found a home on two major distribution channels: Hulu and iTunes. In a release published by Deadline, The Online Network — which is producing both soaps — says that new episodes will begin streaming "this spring" on Hulu.com and Hulu Plus, with one added every weekday. Hulu will help with promoting the series, and we're not sure if episodes will appear simultaneously on iTunes and how much they'll cost. We already knew that these venerable shows were coming back, but premiering on Hulu and iTunes is unusual both because of their longevity and because that means it's not an exclusive deal in the style of Netflix's original content. Will having to share the shows they love strain the relationship between Hulu and iTunes? Could an unexpected visitor derail their tentative reconciliation? We'll be waiting on tenterhooks to find out.
