Is the rumoured 128GB iPad a reaction to the Surface Pro?

Or just a natural progression of the iPad line?

Beyond the timing, there's little to suggest that Apple sees the Pro as a competitor - but then again the extra GB will no doubt shoot the price of the iPad up so it's closer to the cost of a Pro. Also there's this a post on WSJ that suggests MS is trying to 'woo' IT execs that the Pro is good for business, a sector that I'm sure Apple would like to muscle into.

What do you think? Is this Apple trying to cover all price points with their tablet or is this just natural progression where consumers demand more space on their device?
