Though the Nexus 4 has been missing from the Google Play Store for weeks now, Google has confirmed to us today that it is now offering it for sale in Germany, with plans to sell it in other countries in the near future. The Nexus 4 originally went on sale back in November and quickly sold out, with supply issues making availability of it very scarce since then. LG, the manufacturer of the device, was initially blamed for the shortage, and it confirmed recently that it was ramping up production to meet the overwhelming demand. Google says that it plans to offer it for sale in markets other than Germany very soon; we'll be sure to keep you updated as we learn more.
Update: It looks like the Nexus 4 is now available for purchase in both 8GB and 16GB options (as well as its official bumper case, if you're into that sort of thing) in the US and Canadian stores as well. Google says that shipping times for devices ordered today are one to two weeks, but sources tell us that orders should be going out to customers even quicker than that.
Update 2: The Nexus 4 is now in stock in the UK, France, and Spain.
