A Question Regarding iPhone Battery Test
Out of curiosity, I checked how Apple gets its battery life claims for iPhones. But I encountered a sentence that I do not quite understand. It goes:
iPhone 5 browsed snapshot versions of 20 popular web pages and received mail once an hour.
Apple says this for testing all Wi-Fi, 3G and LTE browsing battery life tests. I really want to know what they mean by browsing "snapshot versions" of web pages... I mean, I know what snapshot means, but how can they browse snapshot versions of web pages? I am really curious to know in detail how it works because my iPhone 5 has never gotten anything close to Apple's claims. LTE especially sucks battery like hell. 8 hours is a joke. Any ideas?
