At work I almost always have my headphones on. I find a steady background noise keeps me on task (I'm a programmer).
I use Google Music a little, but the problem I have with my little music collection is that I end up listening to the same stuff over and over and it gets too repetitive. So I thought about those all you can stream services and used Pandora for a while and eventually MOG. I slowly fell into the same patterns. With Pandora crazy shit I don't like always came up when I didn't favorite stuff, and once I did the selection went to crap. With MOG I just kept listening to the handful of albums I liked.
So I went back to internet radio where I'm not in control. It's not perfect because there are songs I don't like popping up, but really it's the best option for me at this point because eventually things get back on track and I'm happy again. The mix needs to be good.
I've been listening to Radio Paradise for a long time and really like it, but it's usually pretty mellow. I wish there was a slightly edgier version of that station with the same care put into the playlists. I generally like rock, blues, harder rock, acoustic, some classical, anything with flamenco guitars, etc.
What internet radio stations do you like? I need more music.
