If you are new to the DSLR market then this would be a good starter camera for you. The Guide Mode provide the necessary steps for beginning photographers to learn the ins and outs of a DSLR camera. The photographs are stunning and the video quality would be better if it was offered at a higher frame rates but over all it get the job done. And its a Nikon so the wide verity of the Nikkora lens are at your disposal but keep in mind that the Nikon D31oo only has full support for the newer lens sets. (See List Below) The older lens I have still work but only on manual. Overall nice novis camera with average video quality and great 14mp photographs.
