Ben Heck tears down the Ouya gaming console
Ben Heck, the original console modder, did exactly what you'd think he would after receiving an Ouya development kit — tore it wide open. Unsurprisingly, he found the console itself to be "pretty simplistic," but perhaps more interesting are his impressions of the controller, which he also handily disassembles. It looks like Ouya did its due diligence when creating the gamepad, including the D-pad on a different plane than the analog sticks and incorporating mechanical triggers.
