I Don't Like Google's Software Buttons - Physical Home Buttons Are Where Its At
They make the screen smaller because manufacturers never accommodate for added space (you shouldn't have a 4.65 usable space on the GNex you should have 4.8). And I always hit them when I don't want to like while playing games. In fact after using the Note II and Galaxy S3 it reminded me how much I like a physical home button. Do you prefer physical home buttons or not?
