A Random Idea on Windows RT
I am writing this under the assumption that Intel can make their future Atom chips competitively power efficient. If you doubt that will happen soon than better skip it. A recent testing by AnandTech.com gave me this idea.
I wonder what it be like if,
Windows RT was installed in an Atom based tablet. Yes, I mean the crippled version of Windows 8 on a capable x86 chip without any x86 programs. My idea is if Microsoft completely Modern(ize) Office, dumps desktop and makes it the next Surface, what would that be like? Would adopting x86 for RT make the transition to tablet UI more smooth and fast, and feature-wise make it superior than other "mature" tablet OSs?
