Apple Cinema TV [CONCEPT]
I've recently started my first year course studying Product Design at University and I am about to set foot into my second term. I am thoroughly enjoying the course and have set myself a little project to complete over the rest of the holiday season.
Apple is a company that I am highly passionate towards, their industrial look on design is something that i wish to reflect in my future work as a Product Designer. There has been a constant buzz around whether or not Apple will indeed produce a TV/TV service of some sort, so, I took it upon myself to design a few aspects for this concept, named 'Cinema TV'
I designed this Apple Cinema TV following the many forms and trends that Apple are focusing on in their current line up, taking inspiration from the iMac, Cinema Display and also the iPad. Also to visualize how the base would work, I thought it would be appropriate to design a tilting mechanism similar to the Song KDL Monolithic TV as this has much more of a unique and cleaner finish than the average stand.

I began my design with the sketches above, and then built a 3D model in Solidworks (approx. 55 inches).

Then, once I was happy with the model, I began to render it. Then I found out that the Student Version of Solidworks didn't include the 360 Photoview Render, (highly disappointed), so I downloaded the free trial of KeyShot, and as it is only a trial, it watermarked all of my renders...

Did my best Photoshopping and removed the majority of the watermarks out of the renders.

Added text.

Added simple Itunes and Lion UI, voila!
I would really appreciate it if you would reply with professional criticism, how i should tweak my models and just general overall improvements that could be made.
I will publish the more detailed 3D models and renders when I go back into University in the following week.
