Considering AnandTech's recent eye opener; do you still see RT as a worthy product?
So AnandTech just shed light into the arms race between chip manufactures (pun intended). Specifically in the field of energy efficiency.
As expected by many industry experts, it seems Intel has DRASTICALLY closed the power consumption gap. As we all know (or should know) ARM's strength lies in power consumption and Intel's lies in performance.
Though now it seems Intel has taken the lead in BOTH, energy efficiency and performance, and with the introduction of Haswell later this year and Broadwell next year this race is all but FINISHED in my opinion.
KNOWING THAT, NOW I DO FEEL AS IF THE RT AND ALL ARM DEVICES (EVEN PHONES) WILL BE A THING OF THE PAST A YEAR (OR 2) FROM NOW.
What do you think?
Update: Also worth noting is another comparison more recently done by Anandtech in which the Intel processor did do better than the competition however the race was much closer. See here.
