Where are all the Windows 8.1 devices?
The reasons for Windows 8 failure is last year are:
1. Lack of tablets at the launch in many markets.
2. High price of all the windows 8 tablets.
Last year there are some problems with power issues in atom processors prevented OEMs from releasing them at launch.
Also, all the devices are ridiculously priced.
Ex: 1. HP envy X2: $850 for an atom tablet with 1366x768 display.
2. Samsung ATIV tab: $750 for an atom tablet with 1366x768 display.
etc.. and so many other laptops with touchscreen also priced very high.
Only devices that will be available on Oct 18 are ASUS T100 and Dell Venue 8 Pro.
Good thing is both are priced really well and comes with Bay Trail. But they are not enough.
Samsung, Lenovo, ACER, HP are not really putting any effort in Windows 8.1. There should be at least one 8 inch and one 10 inch tablet from each of the OEMs.
Windows 8.1 success depends on new tablets and convertibles. What you guys think?
