Google is not as evil as some would have us believe
I was reading about Google's earning report, and I came across this line from USA Today:
In pre-market trading Friday, Google's stock jumped more than 9% to $971.45 as the Internet company showed again late Thursday just how lucrative its business of collecting and selling consumers' personal data to the highest bidder has become.
This is very deceptive. Google does not sell our data to anyone. Advertisers choose profiles to advertise to have advertisements shown too, but they never get any personal information about anyone, and never are told any identities of who is seeing their advertisements. Why did they write this entirely false thing, as it wasn't even in the headline?
