8GB or 16GB of RAM in rMBP?
So I'm planning to buy one of the new 13" rMBPs soon, but I'm on the edge about how much RAM I should get. I know that as of right now 8GB should be fine for me. My new computer's primary purpose will be for things like word processing and web browsing. It will be running Parallels the majority of the time, but I think that runs fine with 8GB. If for some reason I need a lot of RAM for something intensive like gaming or movie editing (which will be rare), I can just pick an OS and use that directly.
The thing is, I want this laptop to last me for the next 4-5 years. Even though 8GB is fine now, I don't want it to become a bottleneck a few years down the line. Does anyone know if 8GB might still be considered "good" later? Or am I safer forking out the money for the 16GB upgrade? At the same time, I don't want to pay $200 for extra RAM that may never be used.
Thanks for any advice!
