Three [seemingly] under-appreciated icon packs.
Everyone knows the big hitters: Tersus, Minimal UI, Nox, Stark, etc., and they are always recommended [for good reason].
I was doing some browsing around, and found three great looking packs that don't seem to get mentioned as much but have a lot of icons (and/or support masking) and are also updated frequently.
Banx is reminiscent of packs like Goolors, Stark, Tersus and Minimal UI. What really sets it apart for me is the shading effect that makes the icons look like they float just above the homescreen.
Motif also uses square icons, but dulls the colors a bit and puts a white frame around them. I think it's simply beautiful. The icon sunk into the frame, while also shading the exterior to appear like a white border photograph resting on top of the desktop.
Serkel is probably the best looking circle icon pack I've seen. At least it's the first one that I'm seriously considering buying. The touch that I love is that the icon is punched out of the circle, and is transparent.
Here's a screengrab from my N7 using Motif as a part of a pseudo-Halloween vibe:
