Why would I want a camera in a smartwatch?
I was shocked when I found out that the "best" feature on the Galaxy Gear was the camera, according to Vlad. Am I missing something? Isn't a camera incredibly redundant? In what situation would I want to take pictures and not have access/not prefer to use my phone?
Admittedly the idea of a smart watch is mostly redundant anyways, but at least with things like notifications you can say that you don't want to be too distracted by the need to pull out your phone. However, taking pictures is a very deliberate decision that people make. I just don't see the point.
