Do apps like Sleepcycle hurt battery while charging at night?
Does anyone know if apps like Sleepcycle that are actively using resources while charging all night hurt battery? I've heard both ways: that iPhones (or modern smartphones) have smart batteries and the coprocessor in the 5S (which I'm using) handle stuff like Sleepcycle and other background apps very well, and the other side that using the phone at all while charging heats up the phone and deteriorates battery capacity over time. If so I obviously don't want to use Sleepcycle.
Just wondering if anybody's heard anything definitive.
