The misconception that samsung spends way more on marketing than anyone else.
I see graphs thrown around showing yearly advertising expenses of samsung spending alot more than everyone else including apple. But direct advertising is just one form of promotion which is just one part of marketing.
Apple has spent MULTI BILLIONS on opening lots of retail stores all around the world which also incur plenty of running expenses every year. Exclusive retail stores are a huge form of indirect advertising and a very powerful marketing tool. So its very incorrect to say that samsung spends alot more on marketing than apple because the latter has already spent a long lasting fortune on it.
