Music video destination Vevo has been making an aggressive push to move beyond web browsers into the living room. Last month it launched an Apple TV app, and now it's expanding to Samsung's line of Smart TVs and Blu-ray players. Available starting today, the app offers access to Vevo's broad library of HD videos, original shows, and concerts. The company says it's tailored the experience for Samsung's devices and leisurely viewing. By default, the app immediately loads Vevo TV, the company's 24/7 music channel "built by expert human programmers."

Genre stations and category browsing should make it easier to find something to watch, and Vevo says you don't need an account to get started. Guest users can assemble playlists up to seven videos long without signing up for the service. Vevo's new app is available in the US, UK, Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, and Spain. You'll need a Samsung Smart TV or Blu-ray player released this year or last to start watching.
