The HP Chromebook, is it really an upgrade?
For unexpected reasons, I no longer have my main laptop, so i have been using a borrowed Windows XP one from a family member, and unsurprisingly it has not been a pleasant experience. I have decided i should get a chromebook for all my computing needs that do not require programs, i am only a student, and i know everything i can or can't do with a chromebook, so that type of information is not required, later on during the holidays i will build a gaming desktop for all my other needs, but right now a decent laptop is my priority. After making up my mind with last year's samsung, Google unveiled the new HP chromebook, i was excited for i thought it would be an improvement on all fronts from last year. But now im puzzled, it apparently has a worse battery life, no usb 3.0 port, no hdmi port, no significant processor upgrade, and more expensive. All very important things, which brings forth the question, is the new chromebook a real upgrade? I can't think of anything other than a better screen that can really merit the word upgrade. what do you guys think? Which is the superior Chromebook?
