Let's talk accessories for a minute. What are the best Surface cases/sleeves you've found?
I recently picked up an S2, and I'm looking for some sort of sleeve to drop it into. I'm not interested in anything padded to prevent against drops, but I would like something to protect against minor cosmetic scratches, as I tend to slide my computing devices into my backpack alongside books/folders/cables/etch, and don't want to worry about any scratches.
The problem: current Surface-tailored cases suck
One solution I can see is to adapt a MacBook Air 11" sleeve. Turns out the dimensions aren't that different:
11" MacBook Air: 11.8 x 7.56 x 0.68 in
Surface 2: 10.8 x 6.79 x 0.35 in
Another consideration is that the backing on the Type Cover 2 produces a lot of friction in my experience, which may make it difficult to easy slide into certain padded cases if the dimensions are too tight. As a MacBook-tailored case would have about 0.5" clearance on all sides, the ease of use may actually be improved versus a more form-fitting case. But I'm curious if anyone has either tried this or has a better solution to expand the variety of S2 cases available.
Personally, I've used ColcaSac before, and would love something similar for my S2.
Thoughts? Any other great case solutions people have found?
