I'm considering moving from my iPhone 5 to a new 16gb white Nexus 5. It looks like a beautiful device and the ability to customize the way I use my phone sounds great. I also appreciate the bigger screen which would be nice for reading books and stuff. The only problem is that I'm not sure how I can live without some of my Apple services. I already use a lot of cross-platform apps like Wunderlist, Simplenote, and Chrome.
I consider myself informed on Android, but I just don't know what I'll do without things like reminders. For example, I use my phone as my primary alarm, task organizer, (occasionally) web browser, game system, and etc.
Is google now powerful enough at this point to create reminders using my voice? What should I know before committing to making the switch?
