Apple vs Microsoft Ecosystem
Good morning everyone, bq. I'm about to change both my PC and smartphone, have Always been a Microsoft user but now want to change and move to Apple for some reasons that I'll explain. I'd either go with Lumia 1520 + Acer R7 Haswell or Dell XPS 15 Haswell and gt750m OR iPhone 5s + MBP 15 late 2013) I believe MSFT is more future proof with the metro interface (I think that professional software producers will start to develop for the new interface since MSFT is pushing for that; otherwise many will switch to Apple's more classic OSX), all of its OSs are more integrated as are their software products (Outlook, skydrive, skype...) Apple, on the other side, has BEAUTIFUL machines, great products like airplay, an app store for iOS that is huge and Always the first to be considered by developers (on the minus side the ecosystem is not as consistent as MSFT's since there are few apps on OSX and less integration btw iOS and OSX), in the end Apple's products retain a high value in time making them a good resell option if I want to switch again or buy new machines. I use my Laptop for gaming (as for what a gt750m allows), light work like office and pr activity such as modifying photos, studying, entertainment. In case I go with MBP I think I'll bootcamp and use trackpad++ for W8.1 gestures. Nonetheless I wish to use everything from one and only ecosystem, no mixing (so W8.1 bootcamp would only be for gaming on steam). What do you wise men suggest me? Any particular suggestion? Thanks in advance!!
