Cost of Sapphire Displays Coming Down

The interesting thing here is that they specifically reference the $30 per display versus $3 per display quote from earlier this year that showed why sapphire displays were not feasible. However, they are saying that current cost per display is now down to $15 and they have a new production method on the horizon that will get costs down to under $10 per display.

This would mean a virtually scratch-proof display on your iPhone. Maybe not in time for iPhone 6, but maybe in time for iPhone 6s.
