Retina MacBook Air in 2013 - or just go for the (now cheaper) 13" Retina MBP?

I'm wondering what the Apple Core thinks about a Retina MacBook Air in 2013.

I currently own a high end 13" MacBook Air and I really really love it. I use it as my primary work machine (I drive in on two Cinema Displays, one at home and one at my office) for iOS and web development. Battery life, weight and the SSD storage are the main reasons why I like it so much.

What do you think about a Retina MacBook Air in 2013. I don't really think that this is going to happen anytime soon because of the MBA's smaller battery / form factor.

I recently played with a 13" Retina MacBook Pro at my local reseller and was pretty impressed, of course by its screen but also by it's weight (it feels pretty much as light/heavy as the MBA now). Now with Apple lowering the price of the high end Retina 13" MBP to $1699, it suddenly got a lot more interesting to me.

Does anybody of you own a 13" Retina MBP and can say something about the performance. I already read Nilay's review, but I'd like to hear some stories from some long-term owners and users.
