The late John Bonham's body of work in Led Zeppelin before dying at the age of 32 was enough to put him on the short list of the best drummers of all time — so why not throw his thunderous beats into the song of your choice? The Bonhamizer does just that: visitors can upload the song of their choice and apply one of four different Bonham beats to the track. The Bonhamizer is powered by The Echo Nest, was build at the San Francisco Music Hack Day over the past weekend, and works by cutting up the selected song and aligning it to the beats of Bonham's drum patterns.

Bring The Beast back to life

This obviously won't work well for every song out there — on the playlist uploaded by creator Paul Lamere, "Intro" by The XX and "Rolling in the Deep" by Adele work great, while Radiohead's "Karma Police" and "Such Great Heights" by The Postal Service feel particularly awkward. (However, speeding up "Such Great Heights" with the "double time shuffle" drum beat yields some pretty hilarious results). In addition to Lamere's hand-picked list of 13 Bonhamized songs, the site also offers you a look at recent uploads so you can see what other twisted mashups the internet has given birth to.
