Biggest selling point of a Non-Retina MBP
For the last couple of weeks, I've been deciding whether or not I wanted to get a MBA, MBP, or rMBP. Finally, I've come to the conclusion that the non-Retina Macbook Pro is the best choice, not just for me but for anyone who wants to get the most out of their Macbook. Why? Mainly because it's upgradeable. Neither the MBA nor the rMBP can be upgraded once you buy one. Also, it would be cheaper to buy a base MBP and upgrade the RAM/SSD yourself than to have Apple upgrade it for you when you buy it.
Now there are two big things that may deter you from the MBP to begin with:
- If you think it is too heavy compared to the lighter Air and rMBP
- If you can't stand the sight of a non-Retina display
