Is Microsoft deliberately killing their hardware partners?
I have a weird thought recently about the way Microsoft is executing its WP and Windows businesses. Looking at it, they seem to put too many hardware limitations like
Tablets:
Restricting RT tabs to 1366*768 when the market is way aggressive
No smaller form factors
Large foot print of Windows etc
WP:
WP7 & 8 processor and screen resolutions
Putting very little effort to fill the app gap
Very long wait times for software updates
Having announced their own hardware business for the future, they could be deliberately killing each one of these companies. Remember Acer's boss whining about Microsoft's sudden shift into hardware, Dell going private(Microsoft offering a premium for this), HP going for Chromium OS etc? Anyone agree with me or am I just spreading baseless FUD?
