I had to laugh at this story! We all know about the huge amount of money MS are making from Android well in excess of $444 million (estimated amount as of June 2012).
You thought that only applied to android smartphones? well well...Android is officially pimped by MS and is its bitch, to put it mildly.
MS license agreement has now crossed devices and now applies to android based cameras with latest signing with Nikon. There is obviously something inherent in the android OS that allows MS to claim royalties no matter what device it is running on!
