Ipad mini or Xperia Sl

hey all :)
i want to replace my crappy bb with a new device...but i'm confused between Xperia sl and the ipad mini...i basically need it for passing my time...like playing games,browsing and listening to music n ol... i'll most probably keep the bb for bbm.. but i need another device to keep me entertained :P
so any suggestions?
