YouTube android app update confirms paid channels are coming

So until yesterday it was just a rumor that YouTube would eventually launch pay to view channels on YouTube and we had some pretty solid evidence to support that, but it was still only a rumor, well not anymore it's not... Yesterday Google updated YouTube's android app and code changes confirm paid channels are indeed coming,

Here is the code that confirms it

<string name="paid_channel_unsubscribe_message">You can only unsubscribe from this paid channel on your computer.</string>

I personally find this a bit overwhelming, i hope none of the YouTubers i frequently watch will turn their channels into subscription base model, since the work they do is great... just not worth paying for.
