Razer's Edge and Edge Pro Windows 8 tablets go up for pre-order March 1st
We saw them at CES last month, and soon you'll be able to reserve your own: Razer today announced that its Edge and Edge Pro tablets will be available for pre-order starting March 1st at 12:01 AM PST. The 10.1-inch Windows 8 tablets will start at $999.99 for a 64GB model with 4GB of RAM, moving up to $1,299.99 with 128GB of storage and $1,449.99 for those in need of a beefier 256GB drive. As for the various docks available for Edge — which include a keyboard, gaming controller, and docking station — you'll need to pay for those separately, and Razer isn't yet revealing when it plans to begin accepting orders. No, its resolution of 1366 x 768 isn't up to snuff with Microsoft's Surface Pro, but at least a couple of those docks will net you extra battery life if Razer's option is more to your liking. Sadly we don't know precisely when the Edge / Edge Pro will begin shipping, but it shouldn't be long now if Razer intends to stick to its Q1 target.
