So the Microsoft mail app isn't that good, suggestions?

Any tips on if or when they're going to update it so it looks better and doesn't look more than 2 years old?

Alternatively, are there any other mail apps to consider? (Aside from setting it up with android email).

The reason I ask is that I have the new outlook and you can set up a second @outlook.com email address, so I assume that I'd need the microsoft app to be able to access both or can I set up two simultaneously in android?

Only recently got a nexus 4 and I'm completely new to android so I appreciate your suggestions/answers.
