'Star Trek: The Next Generation' assimilates theaters on April 25th
On June 16th, 1990, Star Trek: The Next Generation turned the captain of the Starship Enterprise into a Borg... and made the world wait three months to find out if the change was permanent. This April 25th, you'll have an opportunity to experience that moment in theaters with no such interruption. For one night only, Fathom Events is bringing the beloved sci-fi series to the big screen yet again, with both parts of the episode "The Best of Both Worlds." According to the company, the episodes have been remastered, sport new CG effects, and are "seamlessly tied together as one continuous and uninterrupted story." If you're interested in attending, showtime is 7PM local time, and the screening lasts two hours.
Alternatively, you could wait until April 30th, when both Season Three and the seamlessly-edited "The Best of Both Worlds" will each be available on Blu-ray.
