Facebook question on selling your info?

Hey guys.

I was at a cafe for lunch and heard two people talking about Facebook with interesting points regarding if they can and cannot sell your photos, it was an interesting argument, so thought I'd ask the question here,

Can Facebook sell your photos?

I know they have access and rights/licence to them, but what does that mean in layman terms and how does it affect the users?

What else do they sell?

I know they rely on your likes, to better target your adverts
