Surface Pro with a "battery integrated" Type Cover?

Hello,

Does anybody know if it might be technically possible to integrate a battery in the Type Cover? Is the magnetic connector able to transfer power? Because if it is possible to squeeze 2 or 3 additional hours on the Type Cover the battery life would be pretty good (7-8 hours)...
