Mr. Penumbra’s 24-Hour Bookstore by Robin Sloan
Read Mr. Penumbra’s 24-Hour Bookstore by Robin Sloan in 3 hours yesterday (288 pages.)
It’s a good book. I had some problems with the plot resolution, but it wasn’t horrible. This books is really aimed at a tech/Silicon Valley (Google references galore) audience, but you don’t need to be literate in tech to understand it. The author does a good job of simplifying and explaining it down. But, for those who are technically-minded the author does a favor for the reader.
It’s a rather descriptive book. I love books like those, like The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. To me good descriptive books provide a peek into another world.
Regardless, this book isn't as deep tech philosophical as the previous books read here, but still should be a possible read for the forum.
