Verge Videos Finally Play
I have done it. After months of the Verge (and Polygon, for what it's worth) videos not playing in browser I have finally "corrected" my problem. It was, of course, my flash settings. Despite not using it for anything over the long term, the ooyala flash player requires local storage to be enabled. I had it turned off, and hence was treated a black screen for all this time. Why ooyala needs this storage (that it doesn't use) is a mystery to me. You Tube seems to implement a video player, ads and all, without it. But now I can watch all the embedded videos in the site, at least.
