Looking for a Tablet?

Hi, not sure if this is the right venue for asking this question or not...I am looking to purchase a tablet, and have been interested in the Surface Pro, however, my uses are primarily for taking notes (instead of paper and ideally taking my notes and converting them to text), using excel, word, viewing and marking up pdfs, basic sketches and accessing my server at the office.

Any recommendations for products?
