Google shows off prescription-friendly Glass prototype
For all of its futuristic potential, one of the major questions surrounding Google Glass has been how Mountain View plans to ensure those wearing prescription glasses won't be left out. Today Google provided an update on that topic, reiterating that it plans to release a version of Glass that will play nice with most eye prescriptions. "We understand how important this is and we’ve been working hard on it," the Glass team writes in a Google+ post. To demonstrate an early prototype, Google photographed company employee and wearable computing pioneer Greg Priest-Dorman modeling a test pair of frames. Unfortunately the prescription-ready version of Glass won't be ready alongside the Explorer Edition, but Google says glasses wearers can expect to see a finalized solution by year's end.
