Choosing a pope
If the pope is supposed to be a man of God, why is he chosen by other men instead of by God Himself? These days, people are treating the pope as if he was to be the next Jesus, when at the end of the day, it's only a job (as the last pope had made clear). Can someone please clarify this for me? I am not a Christian nor do I have a background in religious studies.
