I guess I should be used to it by now... The literally insane performances that have become the norm for major product announcements... I wish I could say I found it confounding... just an overzealous pitch to investors saying "Hey! We don't just dominate the market! We dictate it!"

The reality, however, is that the stereotyping, sexism, and ageism is appalling and insulting. A symbolic testament to the fanfare that has become a calculated marketing ploy to generate mind-share.

It's days like this when I especially cherish The Verge:
